Retirement Fencing Project Update (Item 4.1)

Presented by: Land Management Advisor – Project Lead

Presentation covering Sustainable Hill Country and Regional Priorities (SHaRP) was provided.

All working party members were supportive of this work.

Agreed action points:

·                Contact details to be provided to the Kaipara Moana Land Management Specialist as to opportunities for the project in terms of catchment restoration groups in the Kaikohe and Hokianga Area – Chair Justin Blaikie.

 

Sediment Monitoring (Item 4.2)

Presented by: Coastal and Water Quality Field Operations Manager

Presentation on the Introduction to NRC’s Sediment Monitoring Programmes was provided.

Agreed action points:

·                A presentation to be organised for the next meeting to update the Working Party Coastal and Water Quality Field Operations Manager.

 

Summer Weather Update (Item 4.3)

Presented by: Hydrology Field Operations Manager

Presentation on the Northland Climate Situation was provided.

Agreed action points:

·                No actions required.

 

Water Tank Sensor Trial Update (Item 4.4)

Presented by: Natural Resources Monitoring Manager

Presentation on an update of the Drought Early Warning System was provided.

Agreed action points:

·                An update on the usage of water over the Christmas/New Year period to be provided to the Chair – Natural Resource Monitoring Manager.

 


 

Summer Swimming Site Monitoring Results (Item 4.5)

Presented by: Group Manager – Regulatory Services

An update on the summer swimming site monitoring results was provided.

Agreed action points:

·                A more detailed report of the full swimming site monitoring results for the 2020/2021 Summer to be provided to the Working Party after completion of the monitoring Group Manager – Regulatory Services.

·                A media release to be done summarising this seasons results Group Manager – Regulatory Services.
