Improving the health of the Hokianga Harbour and catchment is of interest to the Northland Regional Council and the local community.
To better understand the processes and activities influencing water quality in the catchment and Harbour, the council commissioned Land and Water Science (“LWS”) to apply the physiographic approach to model the catchment’s and Harbour’s current and pre-human nutrient (nitrogen and phosphorus), sediment and E. coli loads.
LWS will be presenting the outcomes of this work at the Working Party meeting on 28 October 2020. Some presentation slides may be circulated prior to the presentation on Tuesday 27 October.
